About Us
SAMEE
is an acronym for Saudi Arabian and Middle Eastern EX Expats. This
group is for the expatriates who worked in Saudi Arabia and/or Middle Eastern
Countries during the 70s-2000. It is
an brainchild of the Indica Collection, to preserve cultural and Muslim Heritage.
The 80s was a great time in Saudi Arabia as well as the
Middle East. People from Egypt, Tunisia, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Turkey, the
US,UK, and Europe worked in the Middle East, and am sure had a good, peaceful time
there. A time that we will not get back.
SAMEE Founder
I was not an Expat but my dad was. I grew up in Saudi
Arabia, to be exact from a very young age. (My earliest memory was of Saudi
Arabia).
In social media,
people are searching for the memories of the 1980s and sometimes posting in
groups, etc. That was scattered and I
came up with the idea to have a group for ex ex-pats of the Middle East not Just
Saudi Arabia.
The qualities of expats (of the 70s-2000) were
friendly, honest and optimistic. The expat neighbor's uncle was like a real
uncle or family. The fact is like a real family.(in reality not blood relatives
but happened to meet my dad in work).
There were no negative vices we encountered while
growing up and it was a utopian society.
